IIPS - Down the memory lane

History:

During the year 2003-2004, a group of Senior Parents represented to the Managing Committee to start the higher grades and after consultations with various representatives and Honourable Embassy Officials affiliation for CBSE was filed and School got recognition from the Board to start the Secondary Level Classes upto Xth grade, starting from VIIIth Grade onwards.

The initial strength was only 10 students and again in 2004-2005 the same strength was carried forward for starting of IXth Grade and finally the Xth Grade was started during the academic year 2005-2006.

The first batch for the Board Exams were the children who studied their entire Schooling from I I PS (formerly known as Seva), such was the emotional attachment for the school and it paved the way for their parents to take further steps to make the School as full fledged, starting from Nursery to Xth Grade.

Even after qualifying from the School the children were so determined to study the Senior Secondary Classes in the same school, again the same parents represented Managing Committee to start the affiliation process and eventually School got the approval from the Board during the year 2007.

Now at present the School is enjoying the position as most favoured institution among Indian Community and has an enviable position as number 1 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A trail of developments marks the significant changes that took place over the years in shaping up the school to its present prestigious status.

1995 – The noble idea of establishing the Special Care Centre was conceived by Mrs. Salma Ansari, wife of Ambassador of India, His Excellency Mr. Hamid Ansari, who announced the Centre open in 1995 for Special children. Mrs. Nasim Ishrath launched Kindergarten (Play School and Montessori) Section to satiate the need of a good Public School for the Indian children in the Kingdom.

2002 – The School touched the strength of 460 students expanding upto 7th Grade. •The Computer Laboratory was established with Pentium I Computers.

2003 – A new playground was facilitated in the school Premises.

2004 – The School was granted CBSE affiliation upto 8th Grade. Separate sections for the boys and girls got established.

2005 – A well equipped Science Laboratory was launched. The computer laboratories got upgraded with Pentium IV Computers with LCD monitors.

2006 – The first batch of X grade children gave their CBSE board exam and the school got 100% pass result.

2007- IIPS got the CBSE affiliation for the senior secondary classes. Girls section is moved to the adjacent new premises. A separate library for the Girls Section was established.

2008 – IIPS touched the golden moments by proving the standard of education by the X board results. Glorious result with 100% first class which includes 84% distinction. Sajin Sunny Mathew of IIPS topped the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by getting 96.2% result.
